Longevity in the Grime scene is notoriously hard to come by. The next generation are hyped, fresh voices riding on novelty, clout, challenges and the energy of a new sound, and only the best survive. Along with raw rapping ability and a discography that stands the test of time,  a collection of aggressive, crossover grime tracks, all in his quick-fire, biting style. A further ingredient shared by the most successful among them is continual rebirth. Ghetts’ first release was “Sing 4 Me” back in 2005 and earlier this decade he came close to fading into history, nearly becoming a full time driver delivering pharmaceuticals so he could provide for his newborn son, until his resurgence in 2015 with the RudeKid produced single ‘One Take.’ His latest album, which takes its title from his 2008 mixtape Ghetto Gospel with the added amendment ‘The New Testament,’ confirmed his rebirth as one of the kings of Grime.

With the release of the revamped series of Top Boy and the featured soundtrack, Ghetts once again proves his credibility and versatility taking a spot on the album with ‘Listen’.

Following the release of the audio last month, Ghetts has given the visual treatment to his big track “Listen” Highlighting his surroundings past and present, a gritty yet smooth beat with his infamous style & flow – the track contributes to the visualisation of the street world of gangs and drugs.
